The 14th Symposium on Tectonics, Structural Geology and Geology of Crystalline Rocks (TSK 14) will be held in Kiel (Germany) from March 28th-30th, 2012. The meeting is jointly organized by IFM-GEOMAR and the Institute of Geosciences of the Christian-Albrechts-University, Kiel.
Topics include:
1. subduction zones and collisional orogens
2. metamorphism, deformation and geochronology
3. fabrics, rheology and deformation mechanisms
4. rifting, spreading and transform faults
5. brittle deformation, neotectonics and earthquake processes
6. pluton emplacement, volcanotectonics und impact geology
7. open topics
Four workshops will be organized during 26 and 27 March:
1. Deformation of polymineralic rocks in nature and experiment (March, 26th)
Conveners: Marco Herwegh (Bern), Rüdiger Kilian (Basel) and Erik Rybacki (Potsdam)
2. Landslide processes: Observations and modeling (March, 26th)
